The submitted structural calculations and description of the water heater platform are fine but the construction information included with the calculations needs to be included on the drawing. 2. The submitted water supply calculations indicate that some of the water piping has been undersized (e.g. a 1" pipe serving over 18 fixture units, a ½" pipe serving over 1 fixture unit). Reference: Sections 610.4 and 610.5, UPC 2006.
3. Floor sinks and floor drains can't be connected to a hydromechanical grease interceptor because the external flow control device for a hydromechanical grease interceptor is required to be installed in a location that is readily accessible and visible. (Note that a sanitizing compartment is not normally connected to a hydromechanical grease interceptor.) Reference: Section 1014.2.1, UPC 2006.
4. A trap and a vent are required for all fixtures discharging into a grease interceptor. Reference: Section 1014.1.2, UPC 2006.
