3. At Detail 2/A-2, the landing and concrete slopes at the rear kitchen door must be accessible. The slopes may be no more than 5%. If slopes are more than 5% then a ramp must be provided complying with ICC/ANSI 117.7, Section 405. Provide all handrails and 5'x5' clear space landings as per section 405.7 and 405.8.
VI. SHEET A-3:
A. At notes number 13 and 49, change A-13 to A-14

Provide a diagram showing how inter-lock is to be made,show where control panel will be located, and how other items to be connected. What circuit will the control panel be fed from ? Will there be a shunt trip breaker involved ? Hood installer may provide what type of equipment is to be used.

06/22/2009 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. Provide updated water calculations or a copy of the calculations that were used for the shell building. Reference: Sections 103.2.3 and 610.1, UPC 2006.
2. Clarify the design for the roof drainage for the new kitchen roof. Detail 1/A-8 shows an un-sized roof drain (primary drain) along with a scupper (secondary drain) but the roof plan on sheet A-10 does not show any roof drains. Reference: Sections 103.2.3 and 1101.11, UPC 2006.
3. The minimum opening width for a scupper is 6.25", based on a 2" roof drain requirement. Reference: Section 1101.11.2.1, UPC 2006.
4. Detail 1/A-8 indicates a "metl (sic) bug screen" enclosing the entry to the scupper. Show that the open area of the screen is at least 1.5 times greater than the minimum area of the scupper (4" x 6.25"). Reference: Sections 1101.11.2.1 and 1105.2, UPC 2006.
5. Show how the termination of the secondary (overflow) rainwater leader is clearly observable by the building occupants or maintenance personnel. Reference: Section 1101.11.2.2.1, UPC 2006.
6. Provide the rim elevation of the next upstream sanitary manhole (FFE = 2484.86'). Determine the need for a backwater valve per Section 710.1, UPC 2006, as amended by the City of Tucson.
7. Clarify the nature of the flow control device for the proposed hydromechanical grease interceptor (i.e. is it integral to the interceptor or is it external; detail 214/P2.3 indicates a grease interceptor with an external flow control device). One flow control device shall be provided for each fixture connected to the grease interceptor and each external flow control device shall be readily accessible and visible. Reference: Sections 103.2.3 and 1014.2.1, UPC 2006.
8. Clarify the reason for locating a floor drain (P5) on the exterior of the building and show how rainwater will be kept out of the grease waste system. Reference: Section 306.2, UPC 2006.
9. Coordinate the number of water heaters (WH-1) to be used for the kitchen; the Architectural and mechanical backgrounds show two units. Reference: Section 103.2.3, UPC 2006.
10. Provide combustion air openings for water heater WH-1. Reference: Section 507, UPC 2006.
11. Provide a design for the flue for WH-1 and show that the termination of the flue complies with the requirements of Section 510.6.2, UPC 2006. Reference: Section 103.2.3, UPC 2006.
