This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review covers architectural, plumbing, mechanical, energy conservation and electrical. All code references are to the 2006 International Residential Code, 2005 National Electrical Code and Arizona Revised Statutes. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: All corrections and revisions shall be made on original tracings or a finished reproducible set. Return two sets along with a set of the first submission for reference. Pen or pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays, ensure that all corrections have been made, are complete, and have been coordinated on all applicable detail and note sheets. (Do not cloud the changes made for comment revisions). Incorporate changes on originals and provide two copied sets for review. All engineers and architects involved in the design of the structure are to seal the related sheets of plans, details and calculations in accordance with the rules of the State Board of Technical Registration. 1. Provide clear and legible notation suitable for scanning into digital record. The One Line and Three Line Diagrams do not have acceptable contrast and definition. STRUCTURAL PLANS: 1. The flat roof framing information does not show load carrying capacity for supporting the additional dead load, R301.1 & Table R802.5.1. Provide the rafter length between load bearing structures and a design for supporting the additional 8.4 PSF dead load along with a 20 PSF live load. CALCULATIONS 1. DC Overcurrent Protective Device and Conductor Sizing for Photovoltaic Source Circuits and Module Interconnection Conductors (Isc x 1.25 x 1.25) Reference NEC 690.8 (A) (1) and (B) (1). Revise the Maximum Operating Short Circuit Current value from 9.6A to 12A for determining conductor requirements. NOTES/SPECIFICATIONS 1. Specify that the module interconnection (MC) connectors shall be marked for positive and negative polarity. Reference NEC 690.33 (A). 2. Specify that the Grounding Electrode Conductor be continuous.
