05/01/2009 | ERIC NEWCOMB | BUILDING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Approved | 1. PREVIOUS COMMENT 7: ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATION SHEETS AND SHEET S3.0 STILL CONTAIN IMPORTANT DESIGN INFORMATION NOTES THAT HAVE LETTERING LESS THAN 3/32" IN HEIGHT. ONCE SCANNED, THIS INFORMATION WILL BE VERY HARD TO READ. THE ROOF DIAPHRAGM SCHEDULE ON S3.0 ALREADY HAS OVERLAPPING VERBAGE. |

Reference: Arizona Revised Statutes 32-125, Board of Technical Registration Rules R4-30-304. 2. All quick closing valves require hammer arrestors. This will include the ice machine, and the pressure washers. Reference 609.10 2006 U.P.C. 3.Detail Sheet page number four of nine,Standard detail 401, from PCWWM is not only incorrect but it is also outdated. Provide updated detail from June of 2006. 4. 05/13/2009 | STEVE SHIELDS | ZONING | REVIEW | Denied | 05-13-2009 Development Services Department Zoning Review Section Steve Shields Lead Planner Comments: 1. The building plan has been reviewed by Zoning Review Section but cannot approve the plan until it has been approved by the Engineering, and Landscape Review Sections and until all zoning comments or concerns have been addressed. 2. Zoning could not verify that the building plan was in compliance with the approved development plan. Please submit two copies of the approved and stamped development, landscape, and NPPO plans with the next building plan submittal. 3. Zoning will re-review the building plan on the next submittal to insure compliance with the approved site/development plan. Additional comments may be forthcoming. |
05/13/2009 | ROBERT SHERRY | MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Comment not resolved. The plans were sealed by an Arizona Registrant but with the date the documents were sealed and the day, month, and year of the expiration of current registration did not appear on each sheet of the construction drawings. Reference: Arizona Revised Statutes 32-125, Board of Technical Registration Rules R4-30-304. 2. Provide energy code compliance calculations using the correct climate zone for Pima County < 4,000 feet (the town of Pima is located a few miles northwest of Safford). Confirm that the areas used for the calculations match the areas shown on the plans, including the tower computer room. The drawings do not show any insulation for the tower computer room. Reference: Sections 101.4 and 104.2, International Energy Conservation Code 2006. 3. Comment not resolved. Provide calculations demonstrating adequate ventilation. The occupant load used to calculate the required ventilation is not necessarily the same as the occupant load used for calculating exiting requirements. The occupant load used for calculating the minimum required ventilation is to be based on Table 403.3, IMC 2003 or an approved engineering analysis of the specific occupancy type. Reference: Section 403.3, IMC 2006. 4. Section 507.2.1.1, IMC 2006 requires that the exhaust fans for the Type I hoods start automatically when cooking begins. The wiring diagram shown on sheet M-6 does not appear to show that the operation of the Type I hoods and the hood exhaust fans comply with Section 507.2.1.1, IMC 2006. |
05/14/2009 | LOREN MAKUS | ENGINEERING | REVIEW | Denied | The plat/development plan must be approved before the building plan can be approved. |
