This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review covers architectural, plumbing, mechanical, energy conservation and electrical. All code references are to the 2006 International Residential Code, 2005 National Electrical Code and Arizona Revised Statutes. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: All corrections and revisions shall be made on original tracings or a finished reproducible set. Return two sets along with a set of the first submission for reference. Pen or pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays, ensure that all corrections have been made, are complete, and have been coordinated on all applicable detail and note sheets. (Do not cloud the changes made for comment revisions). Incorporate changes on originals and provide two copied sets for review. STRUCTURAL PLANS: 1. Provide complete roof framing plans for each building with panels. Show size, spacing and span of all framing members, trusses, joists, rafters, beams, glue-lams, lintels, headers, ledgers and blocking, R301.1. Demonstrate how each structure will support the additional loading. Refer to the City of Tucson Photovoltaic System Structural Template. CALCULATIONS 1. Maximum Photovoltaic System Voltage (Voc x 1.13) NEC 690.7 and Table 690.7. Inverter A (IG 3000) is not rated for a system voltage of 487 volts. 2. Overcurrent Protective Device and Conductor Sizing for Photovoltaic Source Circuits and Module Interconnection Conductors (Isc x 1.25 x 1.25) Reference NEC 690.8 (A) (1), (B) (1), and (D). Revise the Isc String calculations showing required ratings. NOTES/SPECIFICATIONS 1. Provide the exact wording and locations for any plaques required for non co-located disconnects by NEC 690.56 (B). Identify location of Load Center at the Inverters and the location of the Inverters at the Load Center.
