Project involved construction of a solid waste landfill per state and federal regulations and consisted of grading the top of the landfill to provide a smooth surface with a 2-foot thick cap of soil, covering with drought resistant vegetation to minimize erosion, and providing post construction monitoring systems. Planning & Development Services Department PDSD Engineering recommends approval of the Final Revised Grading Plan - as-built documentation for the closure of the floodplain use and grading plan permits. Once any outstanding grading fees are paid and approvals are provided by reviewers for this submittal, this project will be in compliance with issued City of Tucson permits.
