SUMMARY: The revised Grading Plan package was submitted and reviewed. Planning & Development Services Department Engineering Division recommends approval of the Grading Plan. A reseeding bond is required in the amount of $7,203.55. Reseeding bond and DEQ number are needed in order to pick up permits. Floodplain Use Permit will be issued concurrently with Grading Permit.

GRADING PERMIT CONDITIONS:
The following 20 grading permit conditions apply to grading permit T09BU00319:
1) No disturbance in El Paso Gas easement.
2) No disturbance outside of grading limits.
3) In order to provide inspection clarification and prevent onsite traffic conflicts, temporary traffic controls may be needed to clarify between continued commercial uses/access and construction access / maneuverability. Install construction access only signage, or other controls, if/as needed.
4) For inspection purposes, post City of Tucson's "AZPDES - Posting Requirements" green sheet, or the NOI at construction entrance of the site, at beginning of construction activities, and maintain this posted document throughout project construction.
5) Call for Pre-construction meeting once grading activity is expected to start. For a PDSD Engineering Inspection, call IVR (740-6970), or schedule with a Customer Service Representative at Planning & Development Services Department, or contact DSD Engineering at 837-4888, or schedule inspections online at: http://www.ci.tucson.az.us/dsd/Online_Services/Online_Permits/online_permits.html
6) Any revisions to the Grading Plan must be reviewed by the PDSD Engineering Engineer and may include discussion, details, or a revised grading plan. Call PDSD Engineering at 791-5550 to discuss any revisions.
7) Grading limits are set 2-ft from property boundary limits.
8) No storage or placement of construction material and/or vehicles within basin areas, floodplain, or waterharvesting areas.
9) City of Tucson grading standards to DS Sec.11-01 apply.
10) Call PDSD Engineering for special Inspections during the any toedowns and other subsurface improvements.
11) No excavation in vicinity of El Paso Gas line.
12) For any geotechnical / soil inspections or questions, contact Pattison Evanoff Engineering (Project No.99-380).
13) All Operators shall be identified and have separate certification statements. Assure these certifications are available on-site. Remaining signatures from the Operators must be on the SWPPP on the site copy of the SWPPP (exhibit or report) at or before commencement of construction.
14) Operator shall report to ADEQ any noncompliance (including spills) which may endanger human health or the environment. Operator shall orally notify office listed below within 24 hours:

15) Temporary material or vehicle staging / stockpile area, and designated washout locations should not be located in or near basins, floodplain, or water harvesting areas.
16) If grading construction is expected to last longer than the expiration date of the grading permit, contact PDSD to renew/extend the Grading Permit. If Final Grading Inspection has not been completed before the Grading Permit expires, and the permit has not been renewed, additional fees and reviews may be required. Requests for grading permit extensions are found online and may be submitted to Planning & Development Services Department (attn: Claudia Buford), prior to grading permit expiration date, for consideration of grading plan extension approval.
17) Post construction infiltration tests are required. A bleed pipe may be required if post construction percolation tests do not provide adequate drain down time.
18) After interim SWPPP controls are removed, permanent erosion control are required on all disturbed areas, in the form of vegetative cover, gravel, a sized decorative rock, and/or other controls, or as shown on the plans.
19) As-builts are required to be submitted under the activity number T09BU00319 to the permit clerks. They will be reviewed and then if acceptable, a copy will be provided to the PDSD Engineering Inspector for final grading inspections. For Grading Permit Project Closure documentation, submit: one copy of original grading plans, 2 copies of as-builts, letters of completion (one for basin and another for substantial completion of the project).
