You must move the existing tree (or mitigate with 24" box), relocate the tree grate and irrigation line to the new tree location. You must also match the existing brick paving and header. This must be a part of your PIA submittal.
12/04/2008 LANCE PETERSON DOT STREET MAINTENANCE REVIEW Denied We have reviewed this plan and have the following comments:

1. Is there a proposed pavement maintenance treatment to be called out over the obliterated striping? Typically, these area deteriorate more quickly then the rest of the roadway. We have recently used a slurry seal over the obliterated striping to help seal the hydro blasting.
2. Any relocated landscaping and irrigation work needs to be cordinated with Paul Rosenboom at 791-5279 ext 234 to prevent any damage to the existing landscaping and irrigation.
No further comments.
12/08/2008 Blanca Espino DOT ENGINEERING REVIEW Denied PIA Plan
1. Please include a detail letter of explanation with the next submittal indicating where and how revisions were made. Single word responses are unacceptable. Include plans/redlines from previous plan submittal.

2. A copy of the approved Tentative Plat is required for submittal to do a thorough review. Submit a copy of the approved Tentative Plat.

3. All proposed easements, dedications, right-of-way should be depicted in plan view and labeled with recordation information (docket/page or plat book/page). Submit approved Tentative Plat to confirm.

4. Sheet 1, Paving Note #5; Indicate the Mix number 1, 2, or 3 per the Pima County/City of Tucson Standard Specification for Public Improvements 2003 Edition. Marshall Mix is not acceptable.

5. Sheet 1, Signature title block; remove line and text "Transportation Planning". See redlines.

6. Sheet 2, Indicate a full right-of-way width cross section detail with dimensions, labels, existing and proposed structures for 6th Ave. Include all dedicated easements. See sheet 2 for correction.

7. Sheet 2, Profile; See redlines for correction.

8. Previous comment; Hinge points of cut and fill slopes must have a minimum setback of two feet from right-of-way. (Slope on private side). D.S. 11-01.9.0 (9.2, 9.3 & Figure 2) Indicate this information in cross section detail. This standard is typical at the property line but in this case make the 2-foot setback from back of sidewalk.

9. Previous comment; Delineate existing & proposed ADOT & COT right-of-way, Centerline, Property line, utilities, easements, drainage structures. This information is required.

10. Previous comment; Proposed curve data does not coincide with the Tentative Plat. 25' Radii curb returns are required per D.S. 3-01.3.2.C, D.S. 3-01.10.Fig.6 & T.AM.G. 5.5.Table 5-2. Correct. Submit approved Tentative Plat to confirm.

11. Previous comment; Indicate the finish surface treatment for median. Reference Standard Detail. If pavers are to be used, reference the standard detail per the Pima County/City of Tucson Standard Details for Public Improvements 2003 Edition.

12. Any improvements within ADOT rights-of-way is required to be reviewed and approved by ADOT. An approval letter from ADOT is required for our records. This approval letter from ADOT is required prior to PIA plan approval.

Drainage Report
13. Comment not addressed; Page 2, 5.0 Proposed Drainage/Retention, states that the proposed basin discharges into the Benson Highway. Does the basin require scour protection? Indicate the discharge point on plans. Submit approved Tentative Plat and Drainage Report to confirm.
