2. The proposed hardscape on the median island on Irvington shall match the existing hardscape to the west. I believe that it is brick pavers.

PROJECT REVIEWER: Richard Leigh, DOT, Permits and Codes Section

RESUBMITTAL REQUIRED: Permits and Codes Section has reviewed the PIA Plan and does not recommend approval of the PIA Plan at this time. The following comments need to be addressed in the next submittal.

1. Include the plan number “I-2008-019” in title block of each sheet.

2. Include Development Services Department PIA activity number “T08000017” on cover sheet.

3. Provide a profile view for the proposed deceleration lane.

4. Indicate the placement of bituminous joint filler between the curb and concrete surface treatment of the proposed median island.

5. The existing curb access ramp on the west side of the driveway will have to replaced to accommodate the onsite pedestrian circulation path. Additionally, the access ramp must aligned with the opposing ramp.

6. Provide a detail of the area where the proposed sidewalk will join into the existing multi-use path. Show all existing structures.

7. Will the existing guardrail between stations +/- 296+00 and 296+50 have to be relocated? Show all existing structures within the construction prism.

1. The City has irrigation and vegetation in this area. This vegetaion will need to be relocated and irragation lines will need to be sleeved. Resubmittal Required: Traffic Engineering does not recommend approval of the PIA Plan; therefore a revised PIA Plan is required for re-submittal. The following items must be revised or added to the plan.

1. Include a response letter with the next submittal that states how all comments have been addressed.

2. See redlines on the submitted drawings and address the additional redline comments. During the next submittal please re-submit the roll of redlines for back checking purposes.

3. Provide an end median signage treatment on western bull nose per PCDOT & TDOT Signing Manual (2002) Chap 9-4A & 9-4B.

4. Show existing striping in plan view to establish tie in points for the proposed striping.

5. Provide a 'RIGHT LANE' (R3-5F) supplemental plaque under the new (R3-5R) Irvington Road.

6. Place the PIA and CDRC Case number on the cover sheet.

7. Add the following Signing General Notes 5(a) & 5(b) per PCDOT & TDOT Signing Manual (2002) (Chapter 1, Sheet 12) to the Plans.

8. Add the following Pavement Marking/Striping General Notes to the Plans:

'ALL STREET STRIPING & SIGNAGE TO BE COORDINATED WITH C.O.T. TRAFFIC ENGINEERING CALL 791-4259 A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE INSTALLATION OR REMOVAL OF ANY SIGNAGE OR STRIPING. ALL REQUIRED STRIPING AND SIGNAGE WILL BE INSTALLED AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE. NEW STRIPING TO BE THERMOPLASTIC MATERIAL. USE 2" SQUARE-TUBE POST AND SQUARE TUBE POST FOUNDATIONS FOR SIGNING. BARRICADE PLAN MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE CITY OF TUCSON TRAFFIC ENGINEERING FOR APPROVAL 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF ANY WORK IN PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY.'
