09/18/2008 | PETER MCLAUGHLIN | LANDSCAPE | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Revise street landscape border information, including street name (the project does not front on Escalante Road) and landscape border dimension in the table/calculations on sheet L-2. 2. Revise the three planter islands in the middle of the parking lot which are centered on the vehicle parking spaces to be located as the others are, so that the trees are planted at the intersections of the parking lot stripes rather than in between them. This will allow for a longer vehicle overhang dimension in these spaces and avoid damage to tree trunks and to vehicles. DS 2-06.3.3.E (For clarity refer to the diagram towards the end of DS 2-06 for a depiction of the requirement of DS 2-06.3.3.E) 3. Where proposed within the sight visibility triangles revise Justicia californica (Chuperosa), which can grow to 5 or 6 feet in height, to be another type of shrub suitable for planting within the SVT. DS 2-06.3.8.G; DS 3-01.5.1.A.1 4. As part of Iandscape notes on sheet L-2, include a statement that d.g. shall also be used within the right-of-way area between the curb and sidewalk. LUC 3.7.2.4.A.4 5. In the drawing on sheets L-2 and L-3 a symbol, which looks like a sun, appears within a parking sapce located in the eastern portion of the parking lot. This symbol is not found in the landscape legend or irrigation legend. Please clarify or remove symbol. |
