11/21/2008 | TERRY STEVENS | ZONING | REVIEW | Denied | DSD TRANSMITTAL FROM: Terry Stevens Lead Planner PROJECT: T08CM03689 Motel 6 #271 - 1031 E. Benson Hwy Site Plan TRANSMITTAL DATE: 11/21/08 COMMENTS: Please resubmit revised drawings and a response letter, which states how all Zoning Review Section comments regarding the Land Use Code and Development Standards were addressed. 1. This site plan was reviewed for compliance with the City of Tucson Development Standards (D.S.) and Land Use Code (LUC) for full code compliance for the areas of revised accessibility. 2. Provide a copy of the last approved site plan with this submittal. The provided site plan appears to have been for a proposed addition that was not constructed. 3. D.S. 2-02.2.1.12 Provide a dimension for the width of the parking area access lane (PAAL) between the proposed accessible vehicle parking spaces and what appears to be some type of planter. Per D.S. 3-05.2.1.C.1 the minimum width of a two-way PAAL is twenty-four (24) feet not 21'-2" as indicated. 4. If this plan is considered an ALTA survey the plan must be sealed by the surveyor which performed the survey. If you have any questions about this transmittal, please contact me at Terry.Stevens@tucsonaz.gov or (520) 837-4961. |
11/21/2008 | RONALD BROWN | ZONING HC SITE | REVIEW | Denied | 1. THE ACCESSIBLE PARKING NEEDS TO BE DISPURSED THROUGHOUT THE SITE IN A MORE EQUITABLE FASHION SO AS TO HAVE A MORE DIRECT ACCESS TO THE ACCESSIBLE SLEEPING UNITS. 2. THE TWO MARKED CROSSING COULD BE COMBINED INTO ONE MARKED CROSSING DIRECTLY ALIGNED WITH THE WALKWAY DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING. THIS WILL ALSO ELIMINATE THE NEED FOR A RAMP AND HANDRAILS. 3. PROVIDE LARGE SCALE DETAILS OF BOTH ENDS OF ACCESSIBLE ROUTE. SHOW ALL DIMS, SLOPES (SPOT GRADES), MATERIAL FINISHES, RAMPS AND DETECTABLE WARNINGS REQUIRED BY ICC/ANSI SECTIONS 405 AND 406. 4. PROVIDE SPOT GRADES ALONG ALL NEW ACCESSIBLE ROUTES OR OTHERWISE INDICATE SLOPE COMPLIANCE WITH ICC/ANSI 117.1, SECTION 403.3 5. REFERENCE "PARK WISE" FOR ACCESSIBLE PARKING SIGNAGE. CONTACT DAN ANGEL, 429-3318. 5. BOTTOM OF MAIN ACCESSIBLE SIGNAGE TO BE 74". 6. PROVIDE ACCESSIBLE PARKING AT THE SWIMMING POOL. |
