7. Specify the minimum resistance (R-value) of the duct insulation to be used on this project. Reference: Section 503.2.7, IECC 2006, as amended by the City of Tucson.

2. The specified lavatory faucets are designed for a flow rate of 2.2 GPM. According to ARS Title 45, Chapter 1, Article 12, the maximum flow rate for lavatory faucets shall be no more than an average of one-half gallon of water per minute at a pressure of eighty PSI or they shall be equipped with a mechanism that causes the faucet to close automatically after delivering no more than one-fourth gallon of water. Reference: Section 402.1, UPC 2003, as amended by the State of Arizona.
3. Provide an expansion tank or other approved device for controlling thermal expansion for storage-type water heaters. Reference: Section 608.3, UPC 2006.
4. Provide a temperature/pressure relief valve for the water heater. Reference: Sections 103.2.3, 505.4, 505.5, 608.3, and 608.4 UPC 2006.
