COMMENTS: The following comments are for the purpose of applying for a variance before the Board of Adjustment.


The review is for a carport addition to a single-family residence (SFR) in the R-2 Zone (LUC Section 2.3.5.2.A.1). The Development Designator is "I" (LUC Section 3.2.3.1.B) and the Perimeter Yard Indicator is AA (LUC Section 3.2.6.4).

The variance request is for a reduced front setback and a reduced front driveway length. The minimum front yard setback in an established residential neighborhood is twenty (20) feet from the front of the structure to the property line (LUC Section 3.2.6.5.A). The minimum driveway length is eighteen (18) feet from the front of the carport to the property line (LUC Section 3.2.6.5.B.2.). The proposed setback for the driveway and the structure is five (5) feet.
