This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review includes architectural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and energy conservation. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2006 International Residential Code with local amendments. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Provide two copies of the corrected set of drawings (no clouds or revision numbers please) along with a set of the first submission (cloud corrections on this set please). All corrections and revisions shall be made on original tracings or finished reproducible set. Pen or pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays, ensure that all corrections have been made, are complete, and have been coordinated on all applicable detail and note sheets. 2. Any architect and/or engineer involved in the design of the structure shall seal the related sheets of plans, details and calculations in accordance with the rules of the State Board of Technical Registration. 3. Provide legible text minimum 1/8" per Development Standards or submit an appeal to the Building Official. FLOOR PLANS: 4. Specify the size and type of operation of all new windows. 5. Show the location of attic access min. 22"x30", R807. STRUCTURAL PLANS: 6. Specify size and spacing of existing roof framing members, R801.2. 7. Provide a cross section view of the over-frame section of roof. 8. Provide reference to cross section view on framing plan. 9. Specify the size of all steel lintels (including new lintels in existing walls). ELEVATIONS: 10. Provide an attic space ventilation calculation and note the size and location of all attic vents needed to comply, R806.2. 11. Specify two layers of underlayment for low-slope roofs (2:12 to 4:12), R905.2.7. PLUMBING PLAN: 12. Provide a hot water distribution plan consistent with the proposed hot water return specified on the water heater schematic. 13. Provide plumbing vent and waste clean-out at the kitchen sink area, UPC 707.4, Table 7-6.. 14. Provide vent piping through the roof so that the aggregate cross-sectional area shall not be less than that of the largest required building sewer, UPC 904.1. 15. Provide a water supply line from the meter sized for the proposed demand, UPC Table 6-6. MECHANICAL PLAN: 16. Provide combustion air vents for all fuel-gas appliances, M1702.2.. 17.
