Grant T08CM03090 Cell Tower (1st Review) TRANSMITTAL DATE: September 19, 2008 1. The Cell Tower plan has been reviewed by Zoning Review Section but cannot approve the plan until all zoning comments or concerns have been addressed. 2. The plan must be stamped by the Special Exception Section prior to approval by zoning. 3. Zoning acknowledges receipt of the letter from Albert Elias, AICP, Director, Urban Planning and Design, dated July 1, 2008. The following conditions need to be met or a note added to the site plan: a. The generator will be enclosed within a sound-attenuation enclosure designed to mitigate the operation sound level. b. Add a note to the plan stating "THE GENERATOR CAN BE RUN UP TO 45 MINUTES PER WEEK FOR TESTING AND DIAGNOSTICS." c. Add a note to the plan stating "TESTING OF THE GENERATOR SHALL OCCUR BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:00 AM AND 6:00 PM." d. Add a note to the plan stating "GENERATOR OPERATIONS SHALL COMPLY WITH SECTION 16-31 EXCESSIVE NOISE, OF THE TUCSON CITY CODE." e. The generator site must be provided with a catchment designed to contain and hold at least 210 gallons of diesel fuel, in the event of a fuel leak. 4. Zoning will re-review the Cell Tower plan on the next submittal to insure compliance with the approved Special Exception process. Additional comments may be forthcoming.
