09/12/2008 LINDA BUCZYNSKI ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied Sarah:

At this location I found that the grounding electrodes at the transformers need to be #2, the bond on the secondary of T2 needs to be #4, "KVA" needs to be changed to read "KV" for the 750 KVA transformer (referring to the 30 KV), and "42000" rated IAC for Panel H1 needs to be changed to read "65000" on the panel schedule. These are the same changes we applied to Project T08CM03052.

Also, at this location, AC1 and AC2 have a Maximum Overcurrent Protection Device rating of 15A per Sheet M1.0, so the disconnects must be fused for 15A, or we can change the 20A circuit breakers. Also, it is not clear that there is a maintenance receptacle for these, and I might have made the wrong assumption in thinking we were OK in this regard on the other permit.

Now, this big ticket item is this: the stubouts to the 750 KVA transformers at both locations imply future secondaries, which makes sense given the size of the transformer. But without knowing whether or not to consider this to be a supervised location, and without knowing the primary protection it is not possible to determine compliance with NEC Table 450.3 (A). Depending on the above, there may be a need for a set of breakers or fuses grouped in one location per Footnote 2.

I'd like to discuss this, but I'm scheduled for my exit interview. Don't know how long it will be this PM, but there's still tomorrow!!
