12/22/2008 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. The revised waste and vent riser diagram appears to show a 2" vent located between the air intake for the flow control device and the hydromechanical grease interceptor. Revise the drawing to comply with the requirements of Section 1014.2.1, UPC 2006.
2. The scupper sizing calculations provided for the north and south roof areas appear to have been done using the 2003 UPC which does not meet the requirements of the 2006 UPC. In addition, the projected area of the north roof area is smaller than shown on the plans and neither area calculation includes the effect of the surrounding parapets. Reference: Sections 1101.11.1, 1101.11.2.1, and 1106.4, UPC 2006, and Section 1611.1, IBC 2006.
