Table 403.3, IMC 2006 specifies an occupant load of 70 people per 1,000 square feet of dining space; with an area of 308 square feet, the number of occupants would be 22, not 5. The minimum required ventilation for the lounge would be 440 CFM, a flow rate greater than the total amount of air being supplied to the space. You might want to reconsider the occupancy classification for the space, possibly as a conference room, which would reduce the number of people to 15. Review the calculations for RTU-6, including the calculations for common ventilation. Reference: Sections 403.3 and 403.3.2, IMC 2006. 2. Neither the self-service area nor the copy center appear to be offices. In fact, they appear to be closer to either retail spaces or "workroom, duplicating or printing" areas.
