Plan review for the above referenced structure has been completed. This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken.

SCOPE OF REVIEW:
The scope of this plan review includes architectural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and energy conservation. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2006 International Residential Code with local amendments. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Provide two copies of the corrected set of drawings (no clouds or revision numbers please) along with a set of the first submission (cloud corrections on this set please). All corrections and revisions shall be made on original tracings or finished reproducible set. Pen or pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays, ensure that all corrections have been made, are complete, and have been coordinated on all applicable detail and note sheets.

SITE PLAN:
2. Specify the location of the sewer line from the property line to the building, R106.1.1.
3. Provide a sheet index and organize plan with all structural pages together.

FLOOR PLANS:
4. Provide door openings on the accessible route with net widths of not less than 30 inches, 1003.5.2.1 (ANSI 117.1-1998 as amended).

FOUNDATION PLANS:
5. Clarify 'prefabricated columns' constructed out of masonry.

STRUCTURAL PLANS:
6. Clarify 2x6 common rafters over pre-manufactured trusses.
7. Provide a header schedule consistent with Table 502.5(1) or specify size of steel lintels.
8. Provide an attic space ventilation calculation and note the size and location of all attic vents needed to comply, R806.2. The City of Tucson has adopted the 2006 IRC. Submit an appeal to the Building Official for use of the UBC.

SECTIONS - DETAILS:
9. Clarify 5/8" type X ½" drywall.
10. Specify method of stucco application over framed walls. For thin-coat stucco systems, indicate the ICBO #, system name, and vapor barrier, R703.6.

PLUMBING PLAN:
11. Specify size of water meter and available pressure, P2903.7.
12. Provide gas piping for structure or submit exemption documentation, Arizona Statute 30-809.

MECHANICAL PLAN:
13. As of 6/12/2007 the City of Tucson has adopted the 2006 IRC. All plans should reference this code or appeal to the Building Official for use of the UBC.
14. Specify the size of the return air register, 1403.1.
