09/11/2008 STEVE SHIELDS ZONING REVIEW Denied DSD TRANSMITTAL

FROM: Steve Shields
Lead Planner

PROJECT: Calvary Chapel - Site Lighting
T08CM01052
Site Lighting (2nd Review)

TRANSMITTAL DATE: September 11, 2008

1. The site lighting plan has been reviewed by Zoning Review Section but cannot approve the plan until all zoning comments or concerns have been addressed.

2. This comment was not addressed. Zoning could not verify that the site lighting plan was in compliance with the approved site plan. Please submit two copies of the approved and stamped site, plan with the next site lighting plan submittal.

3. In the southeast parking area it appears that four (4) proposed light poles conflict with required landscape, see landscape comments.

4. In the northeast parking area there are two (2) light poles that based on a thirty (30) inch diameter pole base encroach into the parking space. These light poles should be located at the intersection of the parking spaces.

5. As site lights are proposed to overhang parking area access lanes provide a detail showing the mounting height of the light fixture so that the requirements of D.S. 3-05.2.1.4.a can be verified. The minimum height clearance for access along PAALs is fifteen (15) feet. The height is needed for high-profile vehicles, such as
sanitation, fire, or delivery vehicles.
