1. Revise the font size used on the drawings to a minimum of 1/8-inch (all upper case). Reference Section 106.1.1, IBC 2006. THIS COMMENT WAS MADE ON THE SUBMITTALS OF 4/14/08, 6/13/08 AND 7/24/08. This has been revised to 3/32", reference Petition of Appeal to the Building Official, approved 7/25/08. Please comply.
2. Demonstrate compliance with the Tucson Lighting Code, http://www.tucsonaz.gov/dsd/Codes___Ordinances/Tucson_Lighting_Code.pdf. THIS COMMENT WAS MADE ON THE SUBMITTALS OF 4/14/08 AND 6/13/08. Account for the unshielded fixtures, those being Floodlights FL and FL1. THIS COMMENT WAS MADE ON THE SUBMITTAL OF 7/24/08. This Luminaire Schedule on Sheet E1.2 still needs a total for unshielded lumens installed and unshielded lumens allowed. And please note that Unshielded fixtures shall not exceed 3000 lumens each, reference Table 5.1 footnote #9. Suggest that you reference Federal statue on the plans, such that lighting of the United States flag is under Federal, as opposed to City jurisdiction.
