PLEASE CALL AT 520.837.4907 OR EMAIL AT Linda.Buczynski@tucsonaz.gov IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. 1. Notes 11 and 13 on Sheet E3 have incorrect values for photovoltaic system values. However, Notes 7 and 9, which address voltage at maximum power and open circuit voltage for the system, are sufficient. Suggest you simply remove Notes 11 and 13. 2. On Sheet E3 Note 19 provide the exact wording, such as "Operating Current = 9.9A, Operating Voltage = 387.2V, Maximum System Voltage = 486.2V, Short-circuit Current = 10.4A." 3. Provide documentation of input fuse value in the inverter. This is needed because of the 15A Series Maximum Fuse requirement per Conergy, for the S 175MU panels. 4. Provide the rating of the panel at which the inverter output is to be connected, and the rating of its main. Must comply with NEC 690.64 (B) (2). 5. The above panel is called "Panel L" in some places on the plans, and "Panel 2" in others. Please clarify all such inconsistencies. 6. General Note E on Sheet E3 refers to Sheet E4 for the Grounding Detail. This detail is on Sheet E7. 7. Sheet E7 Keynote 1. Provide the actual size of the Grounding Electrode Conductor. This is to be #8 per NEC 250.166 (B). 8. Electrical Specifications Sheet E1 #27. XHHW is 75°C and PV takes at least 90°C, optimally 105°C conductor. Suggest XHHW-2, USE-2, or THHN. Many installers go for THHN because of its availability and cost. 9. Bond the photovoltaic grounding electrode to the one already installed at this building. Reference NEC 690.47 (C) (1). 10. Clarify the location of the new grounding electrode, existing grounding electrode, and electrical service. 11. Provide the plaque required by NEC 690.56 (B). Provide exact wording. 12. On Sheet E6 it appears that the Grounding Electrode Conductor is broken up at the meter and the panel. Per NEC 250.64 (C) this shall be continuous. 13. Add a note to have the new circuit breaker in the panel marked to indicate the photovoltaic source. Reference NEC 690.64 (B) (4). |
