SUMMARY: Engineering has reviewed the complete submittal package at an over the counter review. The package included: 2 copies of the site/grading plan, 3 copies of the SWPPP, 1 copy of drainage report, and landscape documents. The grading permit is approved and may be picked up after all review entities have approved the Site (Grading) Plan. The following conditions will apply to the grading permit.

GRADING PERMIT CONDITIONS:
The following 18 conditions apply to permit T08BU01538:
1) Call for Pre-construction meeting, intermediate and final inspections. For a DSD Engineering Inspection, call IVR (740-6970), or contact DSD Engineering at 837-4888, or schedule inspections online at: http://www.ci.tucson.az.us/dsd/Online_Services/Online_Permits/online_permits.html
2) This plan acts as the Grading Plan for the temporary use parking for the offsite St Mary's parking. This site/grading plan and SWPPP are for grading construction associated with temporary use parking area improvements as shown on the approved site/grading plan sealed by Ken Perry PE (8-29-08) for T08BU01538, T08CM02851. Improvements to include new accessible pedestrian sidewalk area on south side of parking area, water harvesting areas along east boundary, and area for modular building.
3) For inspection purposes, please complete the "AZPDES - Posting Requirements" green sheet, and post at construction entrance of the site at beginning of construction activities and maintain this posted document throughout project construction.
4) A copy of the NOI, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), Grading Plan and Grading Permit shall be kept at the site at all times, until final grading approval.
5) Minimum 2-inch rock required for Construction Entrances. Minimum 5-feet of construction entrance areas required. Minimum 2-ft offset from property boundary to disturbance/grading limits.
6) Signatures for the operators on Certification Statements must be on the site copy of the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) at, or before, commencement of construction.
7) Temporary erosion/stormwater controls may be field adjusted with discussions with operators and engineer of record as necessary along disturbance limits for this project.
8) The operator shall report to ADEQ any noncompliance (including spills) which may endanger human health or the environment. The operator shall orally notify the office listed below within 24 hours: Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, 1110 W. Washington, 5th floor (5515B-1), Phoenix, AZ 85007, Office: 602-771-4466; Fax 602-771-4505
9) Designated concrete washout location is required and shall not be located in or near the water harvesting areas. Location of temporary material or vehicle staging / stockpile area shall be placed within grading limits and not located in any water harvesting or basin areas.
10) Dust control methods such as water truck will be provided, as well as daily sweeping of the streets.
11) Contact Permits and Codes (791-5100) for any questions regarding any right-of-way permit requirements.
12) There shall be no disturbance outside of the approved disturbance/grading limits, and no grading shall begin until all required SWPPP controls are installed.
13) Any revision to the Grading Plan may require a re-submittal of a revised grading plan for review. Contact DSD Engineering to discuss changes in grading design.
14) If grading construction is expected to last longer than the expiration date of the grading permit, contact DSD to renew/extend the Grading Permit. If Final Grading Inspection has not been completed before the Grading Permit expires, and the permit has not been renewed, additional fees and reviews may be required.
15) Slatted chain link fence is temporary only. Permanent fencing/wall review required for any future development.
16) Prior to request for final inspection approval, any outstanding fees shall be paid.
17) The permitee shall notify the DSD when the grading operation is ready for final grading inspection. Final grading approval shall not be given until all work, including installation of all drainage improvements, and all erosion control measures have been completed, and all conditions of permit are completed.
18) Prior to request for final grading inspection approval, all erosion control improvements shall be installed and accepted by DSD including rock / established revegetation for all disturbed areas if not improved as per approved plan.
