LOCATION: T15S R14E Sec9 Ward 5 REVIEWERS: Jason Green, CFM ACTIVITY: T08BU00093 (Grading Plan) SUMMARY: Engineering Division of Development Services Department has received and reviewed the revised grading plan (T08BU00093), Drainage Statement (LEADS, Inc., 17JAN08), Geotechnical Engineering Report (Ricker-Atkinson-McBee-Morman and Associates, Inc, 10OCT06 with addendum 12OCT07 and 17OCT07) and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (LEADS, Inc., 17JAN08, revised 16APR08) for the above referenced property. Engineering Division does not recommend approval of the grading plan at this time. The following items need to be addressed: GRADING PLAN COMMENTS: 1) Revise the Basis of Elevation section on Sheet C-2 to match the Basis of Elevation section on Sheet C-1. The same Basis of Elevation must be shown on both sheets for clarification. 2) Revise Detail 6 on Sheet C-5 to correctly label and dimension the spillway/riprap detail. Provide the dimensions for the vertical curb as shown in plan view, this comment was not fully addressed. Plan view shows that the proposed curbing runs north-south along the west side of the spillway inlet tied into the vehicular use area, however the detail shows the curb running east-west along both sides of the spillway, revise so that both plan view and the detail match in construction design. 3) Approval from TDOT Permits and Codes for all improvements within the public right-of-way will be required. A right-of-way use permit application will be required prior to construction. STORMWATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PLAN: The SWPPP does not meet the minimum requirements of the AzPDES Construction General Permit (CGP). 4) Per City of Tucson Code Ordinance 10209, Chapter 26tion 26-42.2: "For land disturbing activities that fall under the jurisdiction of this Article, a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan must be prepared ad certified by an engineer, or a landscape architect and submitted along with the application for a grading permit to the City of Tucson Development Services Department." The SWPPP report and exhibits must be signed and sealed by the engineer of record or by a Registered Landscape Architect, revise. 5) Part IV.F: Include a signed NOI and ADEQ authorization as part of the SWPPP. A signed NOI is required prior to approval of the grading plan or SWPPP Report 6) Part IV.J.1: The Owner/Operator must sign the SWPPP. Signature required prior to grading plan approval. GENERAL COMMENTS: Please provide a revised grading plan, 2 copies of the Drainage Statement (record keeping purposes), 2 copies of the Geotechnical Report (record keeping purposes) and 3 copies of the revised SWPPP reports that address the comments provided above. For expedite purposes the grading plan can be reviewed over the counter (DSD Engineering Division comment only and with a pre-scheduled appointment made by the applicant) for stamp approval once all items have been addressed. However the grading plan must still be submitted to the Permit Counter once it has been stamped approved by all departments in order to digitize the grading plan and get it to our Records Department.
