Resubmittal Required: Traffic Engineering does not recommend approval of the PIA Plan; therefore a revised PIA Plan is required for re-submittal.

The following items must be revised or added to the plan.

1. Include a response letter with the next submittal that states how all comments have been addressed.

2. See redlines on the submitted drawings and address the additional redline comments. During the next submittal please re-submit the roll of redlines for back checking purposes.

3. The pavement section is not wide enough for on street parking on both sides therefore show no parking signs where there is to be no parking (preferably on the eastside of roadway). Provide signs in both plan and typical section.

4. Place the PIA and if applicable the CDRC Case number on the cover sheet.

5. Provide Street Name signs (D3-1).

6. Add the following Pavement Marking/Striping General Notes to the Plans:

'ALL STREET STRIPING & SIGNAGE TO BE COORDINATED WITH C.O.T. TRAFFIC ENGINEERING CALL 791-4259 A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE INSTALLATION OR REMOVAL OF ANY SIGNAGE OR STRIPING. ALL REQUIRED STRIPING AND SIGNAGE WILL BE INSTALLED AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE. NEW STRIPING TO BE THERMOPLASTIC MATERIAL. USE 2" SQUARE-TUBE POST AND SQUARE TUBE POST FOUNDATIONS FOR SIGNING. BARRICADE PLAN MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE CITY OF TUCSON TRAFFIC ENGINEERING FOR APPROVAL 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF ANY WORK IN PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY.'

'ALL NON-SIGNALIZED INTERSECTION STREET NAMES MUST HAVE E-W BLOCK NUMBER ADDRESSES FOR E-W ROADWAYS AND N-S BLOCK NUMBER ADDRESSES FOR N-S ROADWAYS.'

PROJECT REVIEWER: Richard Leigh, Senior Engineering Associate Permits and Codes Section

RESUBMITTAL REQUIRED: Permits and Codes Section has reviewed the PIA Plan and does not recommend approval of the PIA Plan at this time. The following comments need to be addressed in the next submittal.

1. Refer to the City of Tucson web site at http://dot.ci.tucson.az.us/engineering/piaGuidelines.php for PIA requirements and guidelines.

2. Include the applicable paving notes required for PIA plans. See Attached.

3. Include Book and Page on cover sheet.

4. Use COT Title blocks for PIA improvement plans. See attached.

5. Provide a map showing the location and extents of the proposed improvements at a scale 1"=100' on cover sheet.

6. Include the plan number "I-2007-044" in the title block of each sheet.

7. Include administrative address on cover sheet.

8. Include Development Services Department PIA activity number (T07PI00033) on cover sheet.

9. Include Developers Information on cover sheet.

10. Provide the Basis of bearing on cover sheet.

11. Provide Basis of elevation on cover sheet (must reference COT Field Book).

12. Provide a detail of each type of curb access ramp proposed and indicate the use of truncated domes as the detectable warning device.

13. Provide a cross-section call out for the roadway cross section.

14. Shade proposed new pavement areas.

15. Indicate where new asphalt will be joined to existing. Additionally, indicate that a minimum 1' of the existing pavement must be saw cut/trimmed and a tack coat applies per PC/COT Standards and Specifications.

16. Depict and indicate the placement of a curb access ramp for limited right-of-way at the northwest corner of 35th Street and Mountain Avenue.

17. Provide a curb access ramp opposite of the proposed curb access r amp way at the northwest corner of 35th Street and Mountain Avenue.

18. Reference the PC/COT Standard Detail 210 for the wedge curb to vertical curb transitions.

19. Indicate the start and transition from 4' to 5' wide sidewalk of new sidewalk.

20. Indicate the placement of curb access ramps at the alley at Sta +/- 12+00, LT (Mountain Avenue).

21. Indicate the use of curb terminal sections per PC/COT detail 212 at the termination of the curb at the alley at Sta. +/- 12+00, LT (Mountain Avenue).

22. Provide a pavement structural section detail.

23. Submit a geotechnical report supporting the proposed pavement structural section for Mountain Avenue. The geotechnical report submitted with plan set was incomplete, pages 3 through 9 were missing.

24. Refer to redline plans for additional comments and comment details.

1. Please provide a Streets and Traffic Maintenance signature block.
2. Sheet 1 - Note 1 - The latest edition of the Standards and Specifications is "2003".
3. Is there any propsed landscaping with this project? If so, please submit the landscape plan to Paul Rosenboom at 4004 S. Park Ave Bld #2 for review.
4. All work in the right of way needs to be coordinated with Paul Rosenboom at 791-3154 ext 234 to prevent damage to the existing landscaping and irrigation.
