THe following comments need to be addressed in the next submittal. 1. Include the plan number "I-2007-032" in title blocks. 2. Change title to include "Rita Road" in it. 3. Include the Development Services activity number "T07PI00025" on cover sheet. 4. Submit a copy of a geotechnical engineering report supporting the propesed pavement structural section with next submittal. 5. Verify that all shading and line work used in plan set are included in teh legend. 6. Provide a dinmensioned detail of each type of proposed curb access ramp in plan set. Additionally, indicate the use of truncated domes as the detectable warning device. 7. Label and station all ECRs, BCRs and radii of the proposed median island headers. 8. Indicate a thickened edge for new edge of pavement. Aditionally, provide a thickened edge detail. 9. Trenches within the pavement area that are wider than foru (4) feet wide require that the whole effected lane to be repaved (D.S. 3-03.3.3.B2). 10. Correct cross section callouts in the plan views. 11. Provide curb terminations per PC/COT Std. Dtl. 212 at the terminations of vertical curbing. 12. Align curb access ramps so that they are across from each other. 13. Sheet 7, Detail B: Indicate five (5) foot wide sidewalk and provide a cross section of the channel adjoining the sidewalk scuppers. Sheet 7, Detail C: Provide the structural details of the sidewalk scupper. 15. Refer to redline plans for additional comments and comment details. On the plan, roadway sections refer to a detail A/6 and should be A/7. 2. Sheets 4,5,6 - The plan shows curb access ramps. I believe that these are new ramps and will need to call out the use of truncated domes. 3 Sheet 4 - Box Culvert - What is the proposed erosion control at the outlet of the box culvert? 4. Sheet 5 Box Culvert - What is the proposed erosion control at the outlet of this box culvert? 5. Will there be any landscaping installed on this project? If so, please submit the landscaping and irrigation plan to Paul Rosenboom at 4004 S. Park Avenue, Bld #2 for review. 6. All work in the right of way needs to be coordinated with Paul Rosenboom at 791-3154 ext 234 to prevent damage to existing landscaping and irrigation. 7. Be advised that Rita Road is in bad shape and the pavement removal quantities may increas substancially to find sound pavement. No further comments |

Ortiz PE, Traffic Engineer Resubmittal Required: Traffic Engineering does not recommend approval of the PIA Plan; therefore a revised PIA Plan is required for re-submittal. The following items must be revised or added to the plan. 1. Include a response letter with the next submittal that states how all comments have been addressed. 2. See redlines on the submitted drawings and address the additional redline comments. During the next submittal please re-submit the roll of redlines for back checking purposes. 3. Call out the radius to proposed curb returns along Rita Road. Any curb returns that have a radius larger then 25' will need a separate exhibit, such as auto-turn, illustrating what radius is recommended. 4. Provide an end median signage treatment per PCDOT & TDOT Signing Manual (2002) Chap 9-4A & 9-4B. 5. Re-stripe the median end/gore transition per PCDOT & TDOT Pavement Marking Design Manual (2002) Chapter 5-13. If possible, match the existing striping taper and location of the gore transition. 6. Install R1-1 (Stop Sign) with street names at the proposed roadway entering this development off of Rita Road per PCDOT & TDOT Signing Manual (2002) Chap 5-11, 5-12, and Chap 9-2. The intersection with the traffic signal will not require stop signs. 7. Provide a 'RIGHT LANE' (R3-5F) supplemental plaque under all new (R3-5R). 8. Provide Traffic Signal plans for review with the next submittal. 9. Place the PIA and CDRC Case number on the cover sheet. 10. Add the following Signing General Notes 5(a) & 5(b) per PCDOT & TDOT Signing Manual (2002) (Chapter 1, Sheet 12) to the Plans. 11. Add the following Pavement Marking/Striping General Notes to the Plans: 'ALL STREET STRIPING & SIGNAGE TO BE COORDINATED WITH C.O.T. TRAFFIC ENGINEERING CALL 791-4259 A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE INSTALLATION OR REMOVAL OF ANY SIGNAGE OR STRIPING.
