| 02/06/2008 | RANDY SCHULER | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Approved | 1) 230.90(A)EX 2, 240.4(B)(C), 240.6(A), 110.14(C)(1), and 310.16 indicate: The main service fuse sizing must be equal to the rating of the feeder/SE conductors. Thus the 1200 Service Disc must have 1000 Amp fuses Note: If the equipment terminations are listed for 90 degrees C and a cable type is specified with a suffix "2" (see table 310.13 footnote #4) the 90 degree C conductor ampacity may be used. 2) 240.21(B)(2) as it relates to the new 200amp switch for future use. The conductors must be rated for 400 amps. Note: If the disconnect can be moved close enough such that the entire conductor length is limited to 10 feet and it complies with 240.21(B) 1 through 4, comment 2 no longer would apply. 2A) 250.122(B) as it relates to the proper sizing of the equipment grounding conductor. Depending on the Service fuse ratings, a 2/0 or 3/0 conductor is required for feeder taps greater than 10 feet long. |
