The minimum width of a sidewalk is four (4) feet per DS 2-08.5.1.A. Key note #1 indicates 36". Revise note and add dimension to meet code. 2. Per DS 2-08.4.1 all sidewalks shall be physically separated from any vehicular use area (front of the parking spaces) by means of curbing, grade separation, barriers, railings or other means. If grade separation is used for the sidewalk a handicap ramp will be required immediately north of the landing in front of the handicap parking access aisle. 3. Per ANSI 117.1-2003 Sec. 502.5 the maximum slope within a handicap access aisle is 1:48. Key note #6 indicates the slope not to exceed 1:20. Revise. 4. Provide a detail of the required handicap parking signage, clearly indicating size, verbiage and height above grade. (min. height above grade to the bottom of the main sign is seven (7) feet). This letter contains comments, which need to be addressed by written responses to each which indicate any actions taken. In order to facilitate a shorter second review, all indicated corrections and revisions to the plans must be made, and two complete new sets of prints, along with one complete redlined set, must be returned to our office. To avoid delays, ensure that all corrections have been made, are complete, and have been coordinated on all applicable detail and note sheets, and that all changes have been highlighted with appropriate revision numbers, revision dates, and “cloud bubbles.” Pen or pencil corrections on final prints are not acceptable. This project has been reviewed for conformance with the 2006 IBC, 2006 IMC, 2006 IECC, 2006 UPC, 2006 IFC, and the 2005 NEC (with local modifications). Any revisions to this plan will require an additional review and approval by Willdan. Should you have questions regarding the comments herein, please contact your plans examiner Roger Brooks. Please show the structural engineering on the firewall, including the roof supports/attachments and structural notes. It appears that the 12” X 12” footing for the firewall is insufficient to support the 22-foot wall, please clarify with structural engineering to support the design.
