The design of the water heater has been changed but without a mounting height, it is still impossible to be sure that the routing of the T&P relief will meet the code requirements. Clarify how the temperature and pressure relief piping from the water heater is capable of day lighting not less than 6" above the finished grade without forming a trap. Reference Sections 103.2.3 and 608.5, UPC 2006. 4. The T&P relief for the water heater shall not be combined with the pan drain. Reference: Sections 310.1, 310.4, and 508.4, UPC 2006. 5. Provide a design for the mounting shelf for the water heater along with structural calculations to show that the water heater is safely supported. Reference: Sections 310.0 and 314.5, UPC 2006. 6.
