07/31/2007 | CHRIS KIEL (WILDAN) | BUILDING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1) Please indicate the number of tables and seats in the non-fixed seating area and revise the occupant load accordingly in accordance with section 1004 of the 2003 IBC. It appears that three tables would fit in this area and per section 1004.1.1 would need to be added to the occupant load accordingly. 2) Please provide verification that the rear exit is accessible in accordance with section 1007 of the 2003 IBC. The reference set of civil plans indicate a +4" elevation difference between the finish floor elevation and the grade immediately outside of the exits, but the reference set of architectural plans indicate no elevation difference. 3) Please provide verification that the egress illumination with emergency power has been provided at teh exit discharge side of the exits adjacent to the exits per section 1006.3 of the 2003 IBC. 4) Please provide structural verification that the existing structural system can support the new hood and associated exhaust fan in accordance with section 106.1.1 of the 2003 IBC. The shell building plans allow for mechanical units within a central band of the roof, with limitations, and this equipment is outside of that area. 5) Please provide verification that the new mechanical units within the specified band denoted on the shell building plans complies with the limitations of the shell structural plans per section 106.1.1 of the 2003 IBC. The shell plans limit the mechanical units to two 1500# units per beam and a number of the mechanical units do not specify their weight. |
