This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review covers architectural, plumbing, mechanical, energy conservation and electrical. All code references are to the 2006 International Residential Code, 2006 International Energy Conservation Code, and Arizona State amendments to the 2006 Uniform Plumbing Code. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. I. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Provide two copies of the corrected set of drawings (no clouds please) along with a set of the first submission (cloud corrections on this set please). All corrections and revisions shall be made on original tracings or finished reproducible set. Pen or pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays, ensure that all corrections have been made, are complete, and have been coordinated on all applicable detail and note sheets. 2. As of June 13, 2007 the City of Tucson has adopted the 2006 IRC with the exception of the plumbing portion which has been replaced with the 2006 UPC with amendments. The plans should reference these codes. II. SECTIONS - DETAILS: 1. Provide consistent information on details 3,4, & 5 on sheet S6 concerning continuous steel reinforcement connecting upper and lower CMU piers past beam connections (in addition to the rebar welded to the top of the beam) and the size, quantity, and location of any horizontal ties. III. PLUMBING PLAN: 1. Drainage piping serving fixtures which have flood level rim located below the elevation of the next upstream manhole cover of the public sewer, shall be protected from back-flow of sewage by a backwater valve, UPC 603.3.1. Note and specify on plan the location and type if required. 2. Provide 1½" water supply line from the meter to the cold water branch where it separates from the hot water supply, UPC 610.8, Table 6-5. IV. ELECTRICAL PLAN: 1. Note that an arc-fault circuit interrupter shall protect bedroom outlets including receptacles, lights and smoke detectors, E3802.11. 2.
