| 06/27/2007 | LINDA BUCZYNSKI | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | TRANSMIT ORIGINAL DRAWINGS WITH NEXT SUBMITTAL. PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT Linda.Buczynski@tucsonaz.gov IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. 1. Architectural and Structural drawings do not provide for design and buildout of 2-hour firewall, as shown on Electrical drawings. The issue is with NEC 230.2, Number of Services (to a building). Please coordinate among disciplines and clarify. 2. Provide cut sheets for all outdoor lighting fixtures. 3. There is an un-accounted fixture mounted just west of Service A. Account for on Lighting Fixture Schedule and on Outdoor Lighting Code Compliance Calculations. 4. This is in Lighting Area E3a, not E3. See Page 15: http://www.tucsonaz.gov/dsd/Codes___Ordinances/Tucson_Lighting_Code.pdf. It does not appear that the fixtures proposed will comply. 5. Electrical Plans Sheet E2 refer to Building W as West and Building E as East. On Sheets DP1.1 and DP1.2. Building E is on the west and Building W is on the east. Please coordinate among disciplines and clarify. 6. There is lighting on A-2 on the Electrical Plan. This is a spare on the panel schedule. 7. Some of the fixtures on the circuit referenced in Comment #6 above appear to be powered from A-4. This is also a spare. Please clarify. 8. There is a receptacle on A-6 on the Electrical Plan. This is a spare on the panel schedule. 9. AC unit is designated as "FUTURE" on Sheet MP1. No such future designation on Electrical. Please coordinate among disciplines and clarify. 10. Please fill in the electrical load information for the Sign powered from Panel A in the column for electrical loads. 11. Circuits indicated on Panel A schedule do not correspond to Electrical Plan. 12. Regarding Comments 6-11 above, check the circuitry on Panels B, C, and D for proper electrical loads and correspondence between panel schedules and Electrical Plans. 13. For Service B, 6.2 A does not appear to be a reasonable load. Please note that the tallys on the panel schedules will be used to determine Code compliance, as the separate Load Calculations are not in a format that reflects the requirements of Article 220 of the NEC. 14. Demonstrate compliance with the 2003 IECC. 15. Size the Grounding Electrode Conductor per NEC Table 250.66, #4, not #6. 16. If as Note 2 on Sheet E2 indicates, all electrical equipment is to be series rated, this implies a 3-tiered system, which is not available commercially. Please specify line side and load side overcurrent protection for each combination such that it is clear what is intended for the higher rating and the lower rating. 17. Have the Permit Clerks provide designations for Services A and B, or Services C and D, on their respective Activity Numbers. This shall show up under Location in Permits Plus. |
