06/25/2007 | LINDA BUCZYNSKI | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | TRANSMIT ORIGINAL DRAWINGS WITH NEXT SUBMITTAL. PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT Linda.Buczynski@tucsonaz.gov IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. 1. Clarify what is being done with the existing rooftop unit (RTU-1): "Existing 5-ton RTU to remain…" per Mechanical Equipment Schedule or "Contractor to furnish and install new RTU-1 in place of the existing 4-ton unit" per the Mechanical Notes. This effects Electrical as well. 2. Coordinate Electrical requirements for EWH with Mechanical specifications. This is a 240V unit powered on 208V. 3. Count show window receptacles at 200VA per LF. Reference NEC 220.12 (A). 4. Since there is an existing feeder to RTU-1 indicated on the One-Line Diagram, show how this existing feeder is presently serving the RTU, and how it is to be intercepted in the field. 5. Please calculate demand load on Panel M according to Code. Only receptacles which are counted at no more than 180VA per outlet may use the demand factor in NEC 220.13. Count the largest motor at 125%. It appears that Circuit 3 has 633VA, not 500. It appears that Circuit 7 has 700VA, not 550. It appears that Circuit 12 has 1080VA, not 720 6. Address the possibility of other loads on this service. If this is the first tenant, indicate that the other meters and disconnecting means are for future tenants. Otherwise, provide load calculations for the electrical service for all spaces which have been permitted up to this time. 7. Provide available fault current at the service, and size of electrical service. 8. Provide fault calculations. |
