PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT Linda.Buczynski@tucsonaz.gov
IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS.

1. Mechanical Engineer shall clarify circuit requirements MCA and MOCP, for AC units, before Code review. Which slash rating is applicable to the unit specified. Reference Sheet M-400, AC Unit System Schedule.
2. Revise the font size used on the drawings to a minimum of 1/8-inch (all upper case). Reference Section 302.3, Uniform Administrative Code, 1997.
3. Please clear up the "overwrites" on the plans, where letters overwrite other letters on the plotted drawings.
4. Sheets E-101L and E-101LA not yet reviewed. Provide panel and circuit number for all electrical loads. All lettering minimum font size 1/8". Eliminate overwrites.
5. It appears that Ckt MECH-B (39,41) powers SAC-2, not a spare.
6. Each elevator car shall have a separate branch circuit to supply its lights and receptacles. It appears that LP-A (15) supplies the car for one elevator on Sheet E-100P and the pit for the other. Comply with all requirements of NEC 620.22, 620.24, and 620.53, and distinguish elevator car from elevator pit on the panel schedule. Applicable to all elevators, this project.
7. A separate branch circuit shall supply the elevator machine room lighting and receptacle. Comply with all requirements of NEC 620.23.
8. Clarify the intent of the junction boxes in the Elevator Machine Room.
9. Please relocate any receptacles less than 10' from the inside wall of the pool. Reference NEC 680.22 (A) (2).
10. Clarify the intent of the junction boxes on Ckts RP-B (28) and (29). Reference Sheet E-101P.
11. Specify the bonding required by NEC 680.26.
12. Ckt RP-A (29) has 3 quads on Sheet E-101P. Could not be .9VA, as stated on panel schedule. Please correct in this case and all which may apply.
13. SAC-1 requires a 15A circuit breaker, max. However, 3-RP-A1 is a 20A circuit.
14. Show the disconnecting means for RTU-3 on the plans. Specify fusing not to exceed 35A. Reference NEC 439 Part IX, and schedule for mechanical equipment. Typical for all RTUs for which this applies.
15. Provide feeder sizes for RTUs.
16. The RTUs are rated at 230V according to the mechanical schedule. Electrical provides 208V. Coordinate with Mechanical and clarify.
17. Clarify Provide panel and circuit number for the electrical loads on Sheets E-201 and E-202.
18. Washer/Extractor specified on Sheet E-203 is 208/3/7.5 HP. This should draw aprox. 24A. Please reconsider the 20A Circuit, and the 3.23 VA on the panel schedule.
19. Air Compressor specified on Sheet E-203 is 115/1/2 HP. This should draw aprox. 24A. Please reconsider the 15A specified, and true size of this motor.
20. Provide a disconnecting means for the Ice Machine and Remote Compressor (Walk-in Cooler). Reference NEC 422.31, 430 Part IX.
21. Provide electrical circuits for the bakery case, Equipment E-17A..
22. Provide electrical loads on panel schedule, for Ckts EM-B 21,23, EM-B 25,27,29, and KP-11.
23. Please reconcile the power requirements on the Electrical Connection Schedule, Sheet E-204 with those on the panel schedule for Ckt KP-8,10,12. If this 3-phase Convection Oven is indeed 5 KW, then its current draw would be 13.9A; the 30A circuit breaker would be oversized per NEC 240.6 (A) and 422.11 (E) (3).
24. Please reconcile the power requirements on the Electrical Connection Schedule, Sheet E-204 with those on the panel schedule for Ckt KP-7.
25. Electrical Connection Schedule, Sheet E-204 specifies a Soda Machine as Equipment E-2.
26. Provide listing information on the generator.
27. Submit catalogue cut sheets for all exterior lighting, including cold cathode. Special attention will be given to the lumen count per linear foot for the cold cathode lighting.
28. The sign on the first floor level on the North Elevation Sheet E-700 is to have an illuminated face. Please show the lighting fixtures.
29. Please add Fixture JD-2 to the lumen calculations on Sheet STLG-100. Reference Sheet E-101LA.
30. Could not find fixtures BH and JD-1 on the plans, but they are included in the lumen calculations.
31. Note that JD-1 can not be counted as a shielded fixture for the purpose of the lumen calculations, since it is an "uplight." Reference fixture schedule Sheet STLG-100.
32. In the lumen calculation, please note that (4) (14000) = 56000, not 34,560. Could be over the total allowed lumens for this site. However, this site is zoned for Commercial, not Residential, and this will help when you rework these calculations.
33. Provide a detail for the pole and foundation for Fixture GG. If the pole is greater than 20' in height, such details, and calculations for both pole and foundation, shall be sealed by a Registered Structural Engineer.
34. Panel RP-A appears to draw 244A total for both sections, overloading the 200A panel.
35. According to the Electrical Riser Diagram, the following panels are shown to be connected to MDP: MDP-3, EM, EM-B, TELE, OLP. Not consistent with panel schedules.
36. Panel TELE is powered from Panel EM according to the Electrical Riser Diagram. However, it is on Panel EM-MDPs schedule. Please clarify.
37. Panel OLP is powered from Panel EM-B according to the Electrical Riser Diagram. However, it is on Panel EM-MDPs schedule. Please clarify.
38. One Elevator is powered from Panel EM according to the Electrical Riser Diagram, and another is powered from MDP. If this is the case, show this on the panel schedules.
39. It appears that Panel EM-MDP is overloaded, even at 366.48KVA, or 1018A, which exceeds its 1000A rating. This does not even include an additional 25% for continuous loading. However, the ATS circuits for Panels EM and EM-B appear to be redundant, if not confusing because they contain different loads from those on the panels themselves. Please clarify all loading and switching arrangements.
40. Panel EM-MDP does not have any normal power, if the switching arrangements on the Electrical Riser Diagram are followed out. Please clarify intent. Are the two elevators on this panel, GF-1 and GF-2 only to operate on generator power?
41. Switchgear Specification Tags are not used on Electrical Riser Diagram. Please do so.
42. Conduit 1200 shall have no smaller than 2/0 EGC in each parallel set. Reference NEC Table 250.66.
43. The 250 KW Generator does not appear to be large enough for the 1000+ ampere load on Panel EM-MDP.
44. Not known why Panel EM would be on Conduit 400 for normal power and Conduit 600 for emergency power, or why the Fire Pump would be on Conduit 1600 for normal power and Conduit 400 for emergency power.
45. Provide sizing for the service disconnecting means for both the Fire Pump side and the other side.
46. If Conduit 4000 is intended to include a 4/0 GMD in each conduit, this would consist of a redundant path to ground and should be removed. The fourth 600 MCM conductor will serve as a path back to the source in the line side of the service disconnects.
47. Panels have mains on the Electrical Riser Diagram, but are Main Lugs Only according to their panel schedules. Please clarify intent.
48. Please provide the sizing for the Main Bonding Jumper for this service. (10) (600) (0.125) = 750 MCM. Reference NEC 250.28 (D).
49. Provide location of utility transformer on Electrical Site Plan.
50. Provide utility available fault current and fault calculations.
51. Provide location for Fire Pump on plans. Fire Pump review incomplete.
52. Mark the ATSs in the Main Electrical Room, Sheet E-200.
53. Fire Pump CT Cabinet as depicted in Main Electrical Room layout does not correspond to Electrical Riser Diagram. Show location for all Fire Pump related equipment.
54. Indicate nature of UPS, rectifier, and battery circuits. Voltage, current, and power. Address UPS as a derived system.
