3. Feeder to replacement AC, 2 sets of 300 KCMIL, may allow an excessive amount of fault current to the new unit. Provide Available fault calculations and fault current rating of new AC terminals. Suggest the use of current-limiting overcurrent protective device. Per conversation with Hub Phipps, 5/7/07, this feeder supplies an existing panel, Panel AC, and the replacement air conditioning unit is on an existing 30A branch circuit to Panel AC, with #10 conductor. Comment is satisfied with this explanation.
