This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review covers architectural, plumbing, mechanical, energy conservation and electrical. All code references are to the 2003 International Residential Code, 2003 International Energy Conservation Code, and Arizona State amendments to the 2003 Uniform Plumbing Code. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: All corrections and revisions shall be made on original tracings or finished reproducible set. Return this set and a copy along with a set of the first submission. Pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays, ensure that all corrections have been made, are complete, and have been coordinated on all applicable detail and note sheets. All engineers and architects involved in the design of the structure are to seal the related sheets of plans, details and calculations in accordance with the rules of the State Board of Technical Registration. As of 9-02-04 the City of Tucson has adopted the 2003 IRC with the exception of the plumbing portion which has been replaced with the 2003 UPC with amendments. All plans should reference these codes. Show the new wall and identify materials and foundation connection on Detail EF sheet A-2. Show or note a 6" minimum separation above finished grade for framed walls, R319.1.4. STRUCTURAL PLANS: 1. Detail the ridge support, or collar tie location, R802.3. OUTDOOR LIGHTING CODE 1. Correct the Outdoor Lighting Calculation showing the correct property square footage. The existing fixtures may exceed the unshielded limit, allowing no further unshielded fixtures. Provide manufacturer cut-sheets for any Full Cut-Off fixtures showing a fully shielded lamp with no emittance above the nadir (fixtures are completely opaque above and to the lowest point of the lamp) and wattage rating, or label exterior fixtures as Full Cut-Off on the drawings.
