In order to facilitate a shorter second review, all corrections and revisions must be made on the original plans and two complete new sets of prints, along with one complete redlined set, must be returned to our office. To avoid delays, ensure that all corrections have been made, are complete, and have been coordinated on all applicable detail and note sheets, and that all changes have been highlighted with appropriate revision numbers, revision dates, and “cloud bubbles.” Pen or pencil corrections on final prints are not acceptable. This project has been reviewed for conformance with the 2003 IBC, 1997 UAC, 2003 IMC, 2003 IECC, 2002 NEC with local modifications, and the 2003 UPC. A deferred submittal letter for I-joists will need to be forwarded directly to the Building Official and approved prior to the plans being delivered to the City. Reference the City of Tucson Submittal Policy. ARCHITECTURAL COMMENTS: Sheet T1.1 Please provide code analysis data on plans including building type, occupancy, occupant load, and square footage including all roofed area. Reference section 106.1 IBC. Provide a complete site plan indicating all accessibility requirements, building sewer plans and specifications, water supply and electrical service for the proposed project or the civil drawings that would have all this pertinent data. Sheet A1.1 Additional exits are required for the multi-purpose room for when the accordion doors are closed. Reference Table 1014.1 IBC. Doors exiting the multi-purpose room encroach more than half the required width in the hallways. Reference section 1005.2 IBC. The plans provided do not include the required service sink and drinking fountain per Table 2902.1 IBC. Revise plans and include details for the accessible drinking fountain. Revise code references to the 2003 IBC as adopted by the city of Tucson. Sheet A2.1 Walls within the toilet room are to have non-absorbent surfaces as specified by section 1210.2 IBC. Note: Paint is not accepted by the City of Tucson for compliance with this section. Specify on plans the required toe clearance for the partitions per section 604.8.5 A117.1 ANSI. Sheet A4.1 Revise room finish requirements for the toilet rooms per section 1210.2 IBC. The hardware set indications are missing from the door schedule. Please revise. Reference section 106.1 IBC. The door to remain unlocked while occupied sign is an exception allowed for the main exit only. Please revise plan to show panic hardware for all other exits as required per section 1008.1.9 IBC. Reflect on plans the required u value for windows and doors per the energy compliance certificate.
