This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review covers architectural, plumbing, mechanical, energy conservation and electrical. All code references are to the 2003 International Residential Code, 2003 International Energy Conservation Code, and Arizona State amendments to the 2003 Uniform Plumbing Code. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. I. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. All corrections and revisions shall be made on original tracings or finished reproducible set. Return two copies of the corrected set along with a set of the first submission. Pen or pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays, ensure that all corrections have been made, are complete, and have been coordinated on all applicable detail and note sheets. II. FOUNDATION: 1. Specify length of interior footing at bathroom wall. III. STRUCTURAL PLAN: 1. Specify lintel size for door into storage area near kitchen. 1. Specify size and spacing of existing roof framing members over kitchen area. 2. Provide detail for lintel installation into existing walls. IV. SECTIONS - DETAILS: 1. Provide accurate cross-references for the section view to the appropriate page. 2. Specify fasteners used for ledger connection at patio. V. PLUMBING PLAN: 1. The City of Tucson has adopted the 2003 Uniform Plumbing Code with state amendments (ARIZONA STATE PLUMBING CODE). The plans should reference this code or appeal to the Building Official for use of the 1994 UPC. 2. Provide maximum developed length for water line from the meter to the furthest fixture served that coincides with the site plan. 3. Provide a fixture unit schedule per 2003 UPC Table 6-4. 4. Provide a complete kitchen plumbing/HVAC plan. VI. MECHANICAL PLAN: 1. Provide sufficient return air for the heat pump, M1602. Minimum duct/register size: heat pump or air conditioner - 6 sq. in. / 1000 BTU, M1403.1 (1 ton cooling = 12,000 BTU). VII. ELECTRICAL PLAN: 1. Provide a smoke detector outside each separate sleeping area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms, R313.1. 2. Note that all smoke detectors must be interconnected with a power source from the building wiring, and shall be equipped with battery backup, R313.1.1.
