Zoning could not verify that the building plan was in compliance with the approved site plan. Please submit two copies of the approved and stamped site, landscape, and NPPO plans with the next building plan submittal. 3. This letter contains comments which need to be addressed by written responses to each which indicate any actions taken. In order to facilitate a shorter second review, all corrections and revisions must be made on the original plans and two complete new sets of prints, along with one complete redlined set, must be returned to our office. To avoid delays, ensure that all corrections have been made, are complete, and have been coordinated on all applicable detail and note sheets, and that all changes have been highlighted with appropriate revision numbers, revision dates, and “cloud bubbles.” Pen or pencil corrections on final prints are not acceptable. This project has been reviewed for conformance with the 2003 IBC, 1997 UAC, 2003 IMC, 2003 IECC, ANSI 117.1-2003, 2002 NEC with local modifications, and the 2003 UPC. Any revisions to this plan will require an additional review and approval by Willdan. Should you have questions regarding the comments herein, please contact your plans examiner Chris Kiel. ARCHITECTURAL COMMENTS: Sheet A101 Please provide additional information regarding the rear exit in order to verify that an accessible means of egress to the public way has been provided per section 1007 of the 2003 IBC. Please provide additional information regarding the lavatory in order to verify compliance with section 606 of ANSI 117.1-2003. Please provide a drinking fountain per table 2902.1 of the 2003 IBC. Accessible information regarding the drinking fountain is provided on sheet G101, but the plans do not provide one. Remove the designation for door 106C indicating that it is optional per section 106.1.1 of the 2003 IBC and the City of Tucson policy (options are not permitted for commercial projects). Sheet A201 Please provide wall protection around the water closet per section 1210.2 of the 2003 IBC. Sheet E201 Please provide exit signage per section 1011 and egress illumination with emergency power per section 1006.3 of the 2003 IBC, as two exits are required per section 1014.1 (common path of egress travel exceeds 75’). Please be sure to include the emergency power for the exterior illumination at the exit discharge immediately adjacent to the exit. Sheet G101 Please revise the height for the vertical grab bar to comply with section 604.5.1 of ANSI 117.1-2003 (i.e. 39-41”). COMcheck Please revise the building envelope COMcheck to verify compliance with the 2003 IECC as adopted by the City of Tucson. In addition, please provide a COMcheck for the mechanical and electrical lighting systems per section 104.2 of the 2003 IECC. Finally, please coordinate the information between the plans and the submitted COMcheck per section 106.1.1 of the 2003 IBC (i.e. only the offices appear to be insulated). Specify the R and U-values on the plans. STRUCTURAL COMMENTS: General Please provide structural plans and calculations for the installation of the prefabricated metal building and associated foundation system.
