03/15/2007 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Based on the site plan (sheet A1.0) the water for building 3 is supplied from 4 different water meters that are all much further than 60 feet from the furthest fixture in any apartment and all of them handle a greater demand than shown in the calculations. The presence of an expansion tank in the water heater schedule (sheet PD1.0) implies that a backflow prevention assembly may be in place in the water supply to the building; if so, include the pressure drop associated with the device in the calculations. Revise the calculations and, if needed, the pipe sizing. Reference Section 610.1, UPC 2003. 2. Provide shower and tub/shower control valves that comply with the requirements of Sections 420.0 and 421.0, UPC 2003. 3. Clarify the termination point of the T&P relief valve piping noted in detail 1/P1.1. Reference Sections 103.2.3 and 608.5, UPC 2003. 4. Show that the re-use of an existing T&P valve (as noted in detail 1/P1.0) complies with the manufacturer's listing for the valve. Reference Section 301.1.1, UPC 2003. |
