| 04/23/2007 | Estevan Tineo | DOT ENGINEERING | REVIEW | Denied | April 23, 2007 T06PI00059 Hilton Garden Inn PIA Plan: The following comments, at a minimum, must be addressed in the next submittal. 1. Previous comment 3. Provide the recordation information for the proposed r/w modifications in the r/w. 2. Previous comment 12. According to the phone conversation the proposed grades can not be modified due to geometric constraints? If this is the case or other issues, please state why the cross slopes must exceed 3% and if the design will safely convey vehicular traffic. 3. Previous comment 13. According to the phone conversation the knuckle design is based on the existing roadway geometry and proposed drainage structure, and other issues. Please state if the proposed design will safely convey vehicular traffic. 4. Previous comment 10. New sheet 3, now included, not included in previous submittals. 5. Sheet 3: Provide corresponding profile for proposed curbing. 6. Sheet 3: Proposed 200 L.F. of 18" RCP, detention basin discharge pipe is not allowable in the public r/w. Redesign pipe so it's placed in private property. 7. Sheet 3: How will the proposed detention 18" RCP pipe connection impact the conveyance capacity of the existing City Storm drain system? 8. Sheet 3: Per ADA requirements, the pedestrian area cross slope within the proposed driveway must not exceed 2%, revise. 9. Sheet 3: Does the proposed relocated catch basin, along Valencia, provide equivalent flow capacity as the existing structure? 10. Sheet 3: Provide stationing and offset for the proposed relocated catch basin along Valencia Road. 11. Sheet 3: Fully detail proposed ramp for proposed curb access ramp along Country Club Rd. 12. Sheet 3: Provide stationing and offset for proposed discharge scupper along Country Club Road. 13. Sheet 3: How will proposed scupper, along Country Club Road, work with driveway curb return? 14. Sheet 3: Provide ending and beginning station and offset of proposed curbing along Country Club Road. Also, call out the curb terminal sections. 15. Sheet 2: How will proposed valley gutter transition into the grate structure? Detail. 16. Sheet 2: Note 9 is not correct, the note should callout Detail 207, sheet 4 (not sheet 3). Also, plan view should depict the ramp wings not into the sidewalk. 17. Sheet 2: How will proposed ramp work with the existing scupper? 18. Sheet 2: Revise south driveway entrance to more like the north entrance. The south entrance, as designed, does not seem to provide the required ADA access. 19. Sheet 4: Why is a limited access ramp (plan and curb return detail?) called out proposed for this project? The plans seem to indicate adequate access for a typical type of Curb Access Ramp (Detail 207 Sheet 1). Revise and detail ramp. 20. Sheet 4: Detail 5: What is the length of the ramp transition (12:1)? 21. Sheet 5: Detail 3 calls out the incorrect scupper type (Type 2 is for steel top). Do you plan to modify a Type 3 (205.5)? 22. Sheet 1: Provide the Floodplain Use Permit number for the improvements in the r/w (note 31.). |
