| 01/02/2007 | Estevan Tineo | DOT ENGINEERING | REVIEW | Denied | January 2, 2007 T06PI00037 STONE LANE TOWN HOMES: The following comments, at a minimum, must be addressed in the next submittal. 1. Previous comment 2 not addressed. Use correct Title blocks. 2. Previous comment 3 not addressed. Provide Book and Page. 3. Previous comment 8 not addressed. 4. Previous comment 10 not addressed. 5. Previous comment 12 not fully addressed. I have attached a copy of the detail that should be used and included in the plans. In addition, please call truncated domes. 6. Previous comment 14 not addressed. Will the public sewer be installed with these plans or under a separate plan. If the sewer is to be installed with this plan then include the sewer and included Pima County Waste Water signature line. If not then submit a separate plan for my review. 7. Sheet 2 of 2: The plan view indicates cross hatching along the south side of the existing sidewalk but the plan LEGEND does not provide a definition for this type of hatching? Please revise. 8. Sheet 2 of 2: The approved Tentative Plat seems to indicate that 6' sidewalk is required along Stone Avenue. If 6' sidewalk is required then the PIA plan must indicate new 6' sidewalk, adding sidewalk (in this case I believe adding 1' to make 6' sidewalk) to existing sidewalk is not allowed. Revise accordingly. 9. Sheet 2 of 2: The approved Tentative Plat indicates a new Fire Hydrant in the r/w but the PIA plan does not indicate any Fire Hydrant? Please revise plan accordingly, the hydrant must not be located in the sidewalk. |

| 12/05/2006 | JOSE ORTIZ | DOT TRAFFIC | REVIEW | Denied | December 5, 2006 ACTIVITY NUMBER: T06PI00037 PROJECT NAME: Stone Lane Townhomes PROJECT ADDRESS: 4275 N Stone Avenue PROJECT REVIEWER: Jose E. Ortiz PE, Traffic Engineer Resubmittal Required: Traffic Engineering does not recommend approval of the PIA Plan; therefore a revised Plan is required for resubmittal. The following items were not addressed during the last review and must be revised or added to the plan prior to approval. 1. Include a response letter with the next submittal that states how all comments have been addressed. 2. Illustrate the location of signage along Private Street A that is in public right of way (i.e. STOP SIGN, R1-1). 3. Install an R6-1(R) "ONE WAY" Sign in the median per PCDOT & TDOT Signing Manual (2002) Chap 9-3A. 4. Provide an end median signage treatment per PCDOT & TDOT Signing Manual (2002) Chap 9-4A & 9-4B. 5. Re-stripe the bike lane along Stone Avenue at the access point into this development per PCDOT & TDOT Pavement Marking Design Manual (200) Chapter 3-4. 6. Re-stripe the median end/gore transition per PCDOT & TDOT Pavement Marking Design Manual (2002) Chapter 4-4 and Chapter 5-13. If possible, match the existing striping taper and location of the gore transition. 7. Show existing striping in plan view to establish tie in points for the proposed striping. 8. Add symbols used for all new signs in the legend in accordance with Standard Details for Public Improvements, SD100, 2003 edition. 9. Sheet 1: Revise note 29. The note should refer to the City of Tucson and not Pima County. 10. This project requires minimal pavement marking due to the revisions to the median along Stone Avenue. Therefore add the following 8 General Notes per PCDOT & TDOT Pavement Marking Design Manual (2002) Chapter 2-1: Notes 1, 2, 5, 10, 13, 14, 16 and 17. 11. Add the following Signing General Notes 1, 2, 5(a) & 5(b) per PCDOT & TDOT Signing Manual (2002) (Chapter 1, Sheet 12) to the Plans. 12. Add the following General Notes to the Plans: 'ALL STREET STRIPING & SIGNAGE TO BE COORDINATED WITH C.O.T. TRAFFIC ENGINEERING CALL 791-4259 A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE INSTALLATION OR REMOVAL OF ANY SIGNAGE OR STRIPING. ALL REQUIRED STRIPING AND SIGNAGE WILL BE INSTALLED AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE. NEW STRIPING TO BE THERMOPLASTIC MATERIAL. USE 2" SQUARE-TUBE POST AND SQUARE TUBE POST FOUNDATIONS FOR SIGNING. BARRICADE PLAN MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE CITY OF TUCSON TRAFFIC ENGINEERING FOR APPROVAL 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF ANY WORK IN PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY.' 'THE CITY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY ERRORS AND/OR OMISSIONS ON THESE PLANS. ITEMS NOT MEETING CITY STANDARDS SHALL BE REPAIRED/REPLACED BY THE DEVELOPER/CONTRACTOR AND AT NO COST TO THE CITY.' 'ALL RAISED PAVEMENT MARKERS (RPM's) SHALL BE INSTALLED SO THAT THE REFLECTIVE FACE OF EACH MARKER IS FACING THE DIRECTION OF TRAFFIC AND IS PERPENDICULAR TO THE DIRECTION OF TRAFFIC FLOW.' If you have any questions, I can be reached at 791-4259 x305 or Jose.Ortiz@tucsonaz.gov |
