1. Add a paving note to read “All non-signalized intersection street names must have E-W block number addresses for E-W roadways and N-S block number addresses for N-S roadways.”

2. There are no proposed signs submitted with this plan. This plan requires stop signs, no parking signs in cul-de-sacs, no outlet signs for cul-de-sacs and speed limit signs. Resubmit with sign locations and appropriate MUTCD designations and the required signing notes from the PC/COT Signing Manual.

1. Please include a response letter with the next submittal that states how all comments have been addressed. Include plans/redlines from previous plan submittal.

2. Title blocks should follow the COT-Engineering Division Active Practices Guidelines. See Attached.

3. Indicate Maps and Plats, Book and Page information on cover sheet. Plat must be recorded before submittal of mylars for final review and approval.

4. In title block, add assigned I-Plan Number, I-2006-024 to all sheets.

5. Indicate Administrative Address on cover sheet of plans. Correct and revise.

6. Sheet 7, General Note 3, indicates Chip seal will not be required. Sheet 6 calls for Chip seal area on Medina Road. Correct and revise.

7. Add note to General or Paving Notes: Engineer of Record must provide written documentation that all utilities within the right of way have been cleared for construction.

8. Add note to General or Paving Notes: All changes to these plans must be approved by the Tucson City Engineer's Permits and Codes Unit, prior to construction.

9. Add note to General or Paving Notes: The contractor shall contact and/or coordinate any work with COT Streets & Traffic Maintenance Division, Median Island Maintenance Section (791-5279, ext. 234) prior to disturbing any COT/DOT landscaping or irrigation systems. Additionally, the contractor shall repair or replace any disturbed COT/DOT landscaping or irrigation systems, including replacement of any damaged plants.

10. Add note to General or Paving Notes: The Engineer of Record shall field verify that the "saw cut" line is located within competent pavement. Adjustments to the plan shall be documented and As-built; a one foot minimum shall be provided."

43. Based on the approved Mylars, DOT Permits and Codes will conduct a PIA pre-construction meeting with the Developer, Engineer of Record, and Contractor, and issue the approved permit application. Based on the approved permit application, DSD will collect applicable fees (5% of total construction costs) and issue the Excavation Permit to work in the Public right-of-way.
