ACTIVITY NUMBER: T06PI00020
PROJECT NAME: Sierra Morado Unit 2 Phase 3
PROJECT ADDRESS: 10675 E Bilby Rd
PROJECT REVIEWER: Diahn Swartz, Traffic Engineer

Resubmittal Required: Traffic Engineering does not recommend approval of the PIA; therefore a revised PIA is required for resubmittal.

The following items must be revised or added to the plan.

1. General: Need signing/striping plans for Metropolitan Drive, Ladyslipper Place (signing only), and Tiger Lily Place (signing).

2. Sheet 1/17, Cover Sheet. Specify relevant PAD No. near the title block.

3. Sheet 2/17: Signage legend on this sheet is not being used in this plan set.

4. Sheet 9/17, parking details: Show direction of one-way travel for parking details.

5. Sheet 9/17, parking details: Show line types for pavement markings (e.g., WS4).

6. Sheet 11/17, Major Collector Street (Drexel Road): Need to provide bike facilities. Option 1: Change cross section to provide two 5-ft bike lanes + two 10-ft through lanes + 10 ft TWLTL. Option 1 requires 40 foot curb-to-curb. Option 2: Retain existing 36 ft cross section and instead of striping a center TWLTL, put in a double yellow solid stripe (+ RPMs), to provide a wide curb lane.

7. Sheet 11/17, Major Collector Street (Metropolitan): Change Metropolitan Street to Metropolitan Drive.

8. Sheet 14/17, Signing General Notes: Signing Note 1 should specify the 2003 MUTCD.

9. Sheet 14/17, Signing General Notes: Rewrite Note 6: "All warning sign panels shall be fluorescent yellow diamong-grade (DG-cubed or equivalent) sheeting. All school zone signs shall be fluorescent yellow-green diamond grade (DG-cubed or equivalent) sheeting. All other sign panels shall have High Intensity Prismatic Type IV sheeting."

10. Sheet 14/17, Signing Summary: Change minimum sheeting type per new signing standards.

11. Sheet 14/17: Add detail for No Parking sign ("Symbolic No Parking Fire Access Tow Away"). Include a detail for Begin and End of No Parking on cul-de-sacs (relevant for Tiger Lily Place and Ladyslipper Place).

12. Sheet 15/17, Striping Notes: Rewrite Note 3 for relevant roadways, including Drexel, Metropolitan Drive, Tiger Lily Place, Ladyslipper Place.

13. Sheet 16/17, Traffic Circle: Remove high-visibility crosswalk at traffic circle.

14. Sheet 16/17, Traffic Circle: Stop control on all approaches. See City of Tucson Neighborhood Traffic Management sketch for signing/marking the traffic circle (attached). In general use twice as many RPMs and object markers, given the size of the circle.

15. Sheet 16/17, Traffic Circle: Place some white RPMs on the islands that separate the traffic from the ped path.

16. Sheet 16/17: Show location of No Parking signs.

17. Sheet 17/17: See signing comments for sheet 16/17. Label the signing sheet "Signing Plans" and the label the striping sheet "Striping plans."

18. Sheet 17/17: Remove extra callout line (DR-11).

See attached reference documents for detail preperation.
