FLOODPLAIN USE PERMIT NO.: T06OT01620
RELATED PERMIT NO.: T06CM02865
ADDRESS: 4938 E. 4th St.
APPLICANT: Bodie Robins

The applicant is authorized to use a portion of the City of Tucson property described as (legal description): SPEEDWAY TRACTS W60' N135' LOT 4 BLK 8

This permit is for the purpose of remodeling an existing structure and construction of an addition to the existing structure located within a mapped Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) Zone AE, as shown on the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM), Community Panel No. 040076-04019C-2232K, effective date February 8, 1999.

The proposed remodel and addition improvement costs are greater than 50% of the current market value of the existing pre-FIRM structure. Therefore, the entire structure must be brought into compliance with the Stormwater, Floodplain and Erosion Hazard Ordinance, which requires a minimum finished floor elevation of 1 foot above the water surface elevation.

For purposes of this permit, the following elevation requirements apply:
Base Flood Elevation (BFE) = 2516.5 feet per the National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD '29)
Regulatory Flood Elevation (RFE) = 2517.5 feet per the National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD '29)

Service facilities, such as electrical equipment, shall be constructed at or above the RFE and be either placed on flood proof materials or adequately flood proofed.

A Building-Under-Construction Elevation Certificate, completed and certified by an Arizona Registered Land Surveyor, must be returned to the Engineering Division of the Development Services Department. A hold will be placed on the slab inspection (P2S) until the Elevation Certificate has been returned and approved.

A Finished Construction Elevation Certificate, completed and certified by an Arizona Registered Land Surveyor, must be returned to the Engineering Division and approved prior to final inspections.

Any additional improvements, including block walls, fences or pools, will require a separate Floodplain Use Permit prior to construction.
