Floodplain Use Permit comments:
1. The Drainage Statement, sealed by William J. Strang of Physical Resource Engineering, Inc. dated 5/1/06, contains a firmette of the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) panel 04019C2232K, submitted as Exhibit 5. However, the firmette does not reflect the current floodplain. The subject property lies within a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) area, dated July 24, 2000, that changed the flood zone, the water surface elevation and the floodplain boundaries. The subject property is within a mapped Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) floodplain Zone AE (not Zone AH as noted on the copy of the FIRM panel included in the report). Please revise the Drainage Statement to report the current effective Base Flood Elevation (BFE) for lowest Finished Floor Elevation (FFE) requirements. Also, please include a correct copy of the FIRM panel as the attachment.

Site Plan:
1. Please include on the Site Plan the FEMA flood zone (Zone AE), the BFE and the FFE, including the vertical datum used for the elevations.

Please note that a condition of the Floodplain Use Permit will be submittal of Elevation Certificates to verify the elevation of the lowest finished floor. The first Elevation Certificate will need to be returned to this office prior to the pouring of the first slab and the second Elevation Certificate is required after construction is complete and the machinery servicing the building is in place.
