08/08/2007 | LINDA BUCZYNSKI | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Passed | TRANSMIT ORIGINAL DRAWINGS WITH NEXT SUBMITTAL. PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT Linda.Buczynski@tucsonaz.gov IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. 1. Clarify the need for an explosive-proof wire gland, which appears on this Revision. If there is a need for classification according to the requirements of Chapter 5 of the NEC, a Registered Electrical Engineer shall prepare and seal the plans. Reference Arizona State Board of Technical Registration Rules, R4-30-302. Electrical Plans. 2. It appears that the intent is to use the new disconnect and control panel for the pump. However, the conduit run as drawn on the plans goes directly to the electrical panel. Please clarify. 3. Clarify lift station volt-amperes. This can not be 1440 VA on one phase and 1320 VA on the other, as indicated on the electrical panel. 4. There is a panel on the line diagram for a Conference Center, bold with respect to the otherwise existing equipment. Provide plans for branch circuit loads, provide this panel schedule, and add to service load calculations. 5. It is indicated that Panel A is new, on the panel schedule. This is noted as existing on the plans. Please clarify. 6. New Pump Panel has been added to electrical service load calculations. There is no such new panel. 7. Existing lounge is counted at 18.9 total KVA. This is impossible, given that Panel A just by itself totals 46.7 KVA. Load calculations put existing Lounge at 8.8A. This is impossible, given that Panel A just by itself has been calculated at 130A. 8. Provide true electrical loads for other existing panels on this electrical service, Buildings 4-10. It is clear that the methodology of 15VA/SF is not applicable. |
