This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review covers architectural, plumbing, mechanical, energy conservation and electrical. All code references are to the 2003 International Residential Code, 2003 International Energy Conservation Code, and Arizona State amendments to the 2003 Uniform Plumbing Code. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: All corrections and revisions shall be made on original tracings or finished reproducible set. Return this set and a copy along with a set of the first submission. Pen or pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays, ensure that all corrections have been made, are complete, and have been coordinated on all applicable detail and note sheets. All code references to the International Residential Code shall be changed from 2000 to 2003 with appropriate paragraph references. FLOOR PLANS: 1. Exterior walls with a fire separation distance less than 3-foot shall have not less than one-hour fire-resistive construction. Show compliance with R302.1 by providing a section detail of materials prescribed in IBC Table 720.1(2), Items 15-1.1 to 15-1.16. 2. Projections shall not extend to a point closer than 2 feet from the property line, and when extending into the 3-foot fire separation distance shall have not less than one-hour fire-resistive construction on the underside. Provide notation-showing compliance with R302.1. Indicate solid blocking where fire-resistive soffit under overhang. STRUCTURAL PLANS: 1. Provide manufacturer's calculations and data for pre-fabricated trusses, R802.10.2, or note the requirement for deferred submittal approval prior to installation. Include the heatpump point load in the design criteria. 2. Justify garage door lintel. Shows to be undersized. ELEVATIONS: 1. Note and specify appropriate (two-layer) underlayment material for the low-slope (2:12 to 4:12) asphalt shingle roof, R905.2.7. OUTDOOR LIGHTING CODE 1. Show compliance with City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code; the total property lighting limit for area E3 is 55,000 lumens per acre and the unshielded limit for area E3 is 12,000 lumens per acre. Include all exterior fixtures on the property in the calculations. Show the exterior fixture wattage for determining lighting limits. Full cut-off fixtures have no emittance above the nadir (fixtures are completely opaque above and to the lowest point of the lamp). Fixtures may be exempt from the total lumen budget if both of the full cut-off FCO style and located under overhangs, OLC 5.1.2. Provide cut sheets for all FCO fixtures showing the angle of cutoff, light emissions and fixture wattage. All other fixtures are assumed to be unshielded (non-FCO style).
