03/23/2007 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. The drinking fountain as shown on the drawings does not appear to meet the accessibility requirements of ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003, which calls for a high-low drinking fountain.
2. Provide specifications for the new dishwasher and show how it is to be installed. Reference Section 103.2.3, UPC 2003.
3. Provide specifications for the new icemaker and show how it is to be installed. Reference Section 103.2.3, UPC 2003.
4. Provide fixture descriptions for all new plumbing fixtures (e.g. sinks for the kitchen). Explain how the new 3-compartment sink is to be used: the fixture description has it connected to a grease trap but the drawings do not show that. Reference Sections 103.2.3,401.1, UPC 2003.
5. Provide additional information to show how the new shower pans comply with the construction and installation requirements of section 412.0, UPC 2003.
6. Show how the discharge water temperature is to be limited for the bathtubs (i.e. does the mixing valve meet the requirements of ASSE 1016). Reference Section 421.0, UPC 2003.
7. Revise the developed lengths of the natural gas pipes to coordinate with the drawings. Revise the size of the natural gas pipes as required, per Section 1217.1, UPC 2003 or provide calculations demonstrating conformance to Section 1217.3, UPC 2003. Reference Section 103.2.3, UPC 2003.
8. The listing information for the specified grease trap shows that it has been designed for a 3" inlet and outlet. Revise the pipe sizes as required. Reference Section 311.5, UPC 2003.
9. Riser diagram 6/P2.4 appears to show the flow control device for the grease trap installed below the floor. The flow control device for a grease trap must be installed in a location that is readily accessible and visible. Refer to the manufacturer's installation instructions. Reference Section 1014.3, UPC 2003.
