| 10/05/2006 | LINDA BUCZYNSKI | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | TRANSMIT ORIGINAL DRAWINGS WITH NEXT SUBMITTAL. PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT Linda.Buczynski@tucsonaz.gov IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. 1. New load calculations indicate that the capacity of the existing service entrance conductors is not sufficient. Please rework these, and revise fault calculations as appropriate. Note that there is no 220.44 in the 2002 NEC. However, Table 220.13 allows a demand factor of 50% to be used for non-dwelling receptacles computed at not more than 180-VA, after the subtraction of the first 10 KVA. Thus the demand factor calculation for Panel DPL would be allowed on the portion of the connected load total after the subtraction of the 39.1 KVA of outlets > 180VA and that first 10 KVA. By my calculation this would result in a value of 151.2 KVA design load, not 131.6. |
